Best of Beauty 2017

Lord knows this post is well overdue!

Can you believe it? My Best of Beauty 2017 is finally here! I’m slightly shook considering it felt like yesterday that I made my last year’s collage. None the less, I can not wait for 2018 and what it possibly could have in store. I feel so blessed and excited for thechristyleigh and ready the new advancements I have up my sleeve.

Ok, without further a-do…

Here is my…

BEST OF BEAUTY 2017:

Best of Beauty 2017 Collage

1. MAC Cosmetic’s Strobe Cream $33

If you’re looking for some healthy radiant glow under your foundation, this cream will do the trick. This isn’t necessarily a primer or a moisturizer but ultimately a great under the foundation glow.

2. Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation $64

Oh.. my.. Gosh.. this is hands down the most beautiful foundation I have ever put on my face. I even mix this with my holy grail L’oreal Pro-Glow foundation and it works like a dream. I absolutely love this foundation; it is lightweight, radiant, healthy, seamless, and of course… expensive. The price is ultimately what took me so long to jump on this bandwagon but after trying a sample, I had to pick one up right away.

3. Colourpop No Filter Concealer $6

Loved this concealer in 2017, such a great and inexpensive product that made my skin look flawless and airbrushed. CLICK HERE to read my full review with swatches.

4. RCMA No Color Powder $12

Ran out of your beloved Laura Mercier Translucent Powder? Fear no more, this is the perfect solution to your baking debacle. Super fine, light and non drying powder that I would highly recommend for anyone who is looking to cut that contour and save a little cash. Don’t throw away that empty Laura Mercier container!!! I transferred my RCMA powder into that old container to prevent messes.

5. Milani Blush “Rose D’Oro” $7.99

This is basically the only blush I’ve used all year long! It is the perfect glowy rosy/light bronze color that I love for every look.

6. Mac Cosmetic Brow Pencil “Lingering” $18

This pencil is the perfect color, soft and blendable and lasts all day. Couldn’t ask for a better pencil to fill in those uneven brows.

7. Jouer Highlighter “Citrine” $24

Hands down one of the most beautiful highlighters of my 2017…this highlight had me glowing to the gods! This pale champagne gold always came in clutch with any look I had on. LOVE!

8. Ofra Highlight “Rodeo Drive” $29

This was my “WAH-BAM!” highlight of 2017, so perfect to really blind anyone who dared to look your way. Absolutely LOVE this shinny gold!

9. Colourpop Double Entendre Palette $16

This is hands down, the best shadow palette Colourpop has released this year. Since receiving it, it is basically the only palette I use. It has the perfect combination of shimmers and mattes to create multiple styles and looks for any occasion.

10. Colourpop Pressed Powders Shadows $4

Just to go along with the previous “best”, the Colourpop single pressed shadows are incredible, blendable, buttery and worth every inexpensive penny PLUS more. CLICK HERE to read my full review.

11. L’oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara $9.99

If you’re looking for a great mascara that will fluff and voluminze your lashes, this product is AMAZING!

12. Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip “Zuma” $6

People… if you have not jumped on the Ultra Blotted Lip banwagon… you’re not living. Specifically, Zuma, has changed my lip game! This is the BEST, simple, easy wearing lip product. It kind of reminds me of a “lip stain”, but more of a liquid lip. It is so unique that is it difficult to describe unless you try it for yourself. CLICK HERE to read full review and swatches.

13. Kat Von D Lock It Setting Mist $26

This is such a great setting spray, really helps keep my makeup on ALL DAY!

14. Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner $44

Oh.. my.. God.. this toner is outstanding! About 6 months ago I was noticing my face was developing some slight texture, so I decided I really wanted to change my skincare game. When I heard about this toner, I was so intrigued by its reviews, plus because it is alcohol-free! Since using this toner, my skin is smooth, hydrated and clean. Though the price point is a little steep, I can’t imagine my skincare routine without it! A MUST!

15. The Ordinary “Buffet” $14.80

GAME CHANGER!!! I absolutely LOVE this product. This serum accompanied by the previous “best”, is an absolute dream for my skin. Buffet has rid of my unwanted texture, toned down my redness and cleared my imperfections. CLICK HERE for full product review.

16. Glamglow Gravity Mud Firming Treatment $69

Yes, this baby is expensive. However, this skincare mask is another must for me! This mask instantly reduces the visibility of fine lines and pores. It completely firms up the skin and leaves the face with a youthful appearance. I particularly love using this product when I know I have an event to attend and I want my makeup to be flawless all day. It really helps reduce my makeup seeping into my fine smile lines (that I despise!!! Can’t stand when that happens!).

WAH-LAAA!

There you have it, my 2017 Beauty Favorites!

  1. I really want to try #14! Reading this post made me realize I should eliminate skincare products that have alcohol in them. Insightful!
