Favorite Summer Lippies!

Fall and winter are absolutely my favorite seasons of the year, especially with fashion! But during the summer, makeup can be so much fun! Full of bright colors, bronzer, dewy skin, and a glow when the sun shines on your face. In this post I will be displaying and swatching all my favorite lippies for the summer. Lipsticks could be such a statement or tie an entire look together; I always get asked what color I am wearing so I figured I would put it all in one post to show everyone my 8 signature lipsticks!

1. Mac’s “Sushi Kiss”

This color is by far my favorite that I have been wearing this summer and I couldn’t be happier! This is a true creamsicle shade, a vibrant light orange that I am totally obsessed with. This particular lipstick is highly pigmented and quite a unique shade so it tends to be overwhelming for many people but doesn’t mean that it cannot be completely wearable! I always pair it with a pink lip liner or if I feel like keeping it light, dab a little on my lips and blend it with the liner. Very comparable to Lime Crime’s “Cosmopolitan”! Give it a try!

 

2. Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm “Mischievous”

This lippie is second in command for sure; absolutely love these matte lip balms, and of course this color falls under the creamsicle category! I can’t help but love these creamy colors. The jumbo pencil is long-lasting, smooth on the lips, great color pay off, and best of all….they smell like peppermint 🙂

   

3. Revlon’s Colorburst Matte Balm “Unapologetic”

Yup, another Revlon lip balm…they’re great, highly recommend them! This color is a mix between fuchsia and coral, which is perfect for summer. Like the previous lip balm, they’re long-lasting, color pigmentation is amazing, and…. peppermint!!!

   

4. Revlon’s “Primrose” 668

This lipstick is my holy grail of lipsticks! I wear it for everything! “Primrose” is a sweet pink with a hint of nude, very soft and goes absolutely great with almost every look I do. This is the only lipstick I own that I bought backups for!

   

5. Revlon’s ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick “Ultimate Orchid” 006

Do you think I like Revlon lipsticks, ha!? ….To be honest, my least favorite color is purple, but for whatever reason I LOVE orchid, lavender, or pastel purple colors with makeup! I purchased this lippie about 2 years ago and highly recommend this product and color if you are into matte shades. This is a true liquid lipstick, which goes on like a highly pigmented lip gloss and then dries into the perfect matte lipstick shade. This at first felt odd to wear just because, at the time I never wore a liquid lipstick before, but after the first few minutes you barley feel it!

 

6. Maybelline’s Color Whisper “Oh La Lilac” 90

I have always been a fan of the color whispers! They are wonderful for just a simple color to add to a look or to put on top of a lip liner or lipstick. They go on like lip balm and the colors are beautifully bright, might have to reapply if you are wearing alone but it is worth the purchase. If you’re into creamscile/peach colors like me, then you could also try Maybelline’s Color Whisper in “Peach Punch”.

7. Sephora’s “I’ll Lead”

I actually think this maybe a limited edition lippie (sorry!), but I do love this color! It is the first Sephora lipstick I have ever purchased prior to working there last year. It is a vibrant coral/pink shade that I love to wear during the summer.

 

8. Maybelline’s “Fuchsia Fever”

Last but not least! This is a true fuchsia color, very bright and gorgeous for a “girls night out”! Probably the closest dupe for Mac’s “Candy Yum Yum” but better in for the pockets.
